What is Eye floaters
Eye floaters are small moving spots that appear in your field of vision. They may be especially noticeable when you look at something bright, such as white paper or a blue sky.Eye floaters can be annoying, but they generally don’t interfere with your sight.
Causes of Eye Floaters
The most common cause of floaters is shrinkage of the vitreous humour (a gel-like substance that fills the back compartment of the eye) orposterior vitreous detachment (the vitreous membrane is released from the sensory retina).
Serious eye disorders associated with eye floaters include:Retinaltear, Retinal detachment, or Vitreous bleeding.
Treatment of Eye Floaters

There are currently no medications (including eye drops) that can correct for this vitreous deterioration.If you only have a few eye floaters that don’t change over time, it usually does not indicate a serious eye problem.Most of the time people learn to live with eye floaters and ignore them. - accompanied by flashes of light
- loss of side vision
Retinal Tear: needs laser treatment immediately
Follow up in one week, one month, 3 months, and every year
Retinal detachment: needs surgery immediately
